The project for the logo of the City of Legnano originated from a reinterpretation of the historic heraldic symbol and its transformation into a coherent, functional, and long-lasting visual system. The intervention goes beyond a simple logo redesign, defining a complete visual identity capable of ensuring recognisability, continuity, and clarity of communication over time.
The symbol was rationalised, the typeface redesigned, the colour language redefined, and clear usage guidelines established to guarantee consistent and correct applications. Typography played a central role in the project: a custom-designed font created to dialogue with the heraldic symbol, improve its legibility, and strengthen the identity across the various institutional applications.
The identity system was conceived to adapt to different contexts and media, from digital communication to the customisation of uniforms, and from the integration of the mark into urban elements to its use across public services.
